About Us

The Elf Project of Hawkins County, TN is a volunteer run, donation based Christmas help program that blesses families in Hawkins County and lower Sullivan County. We support families who have missed the deadline for larger programs due to emergency circumstances such as child placement, job loss, or death in the family.

President and Program Director, Amber Burchfield

Amber Burchfield is a founding member and serves as the President and Director of Operations for The Elf Project. As a devoted mother of two teenagers and a passionate advocate for her community, Amber has dedicated many years to enriching the lives of children and families. She has served as the Director of Kids Church at Providence and is also the owner and operator of Miss Amber’s Angels, a highly regarded in-home daycare. With an unwavering commitment to making a difference, Amber’s leadership and enthusiasm are the driving forces behind The Elf Project’s continued success. Her tireless efforts bring hope, joy, and a sense of belonging to countless families in Hawkins County, Tennessee, each holiday season.

Vice President and Co-Chair, Donna Phillips

Donna Phillips, a founding member and Vice President of The Elf Project, is devoted to serving her community in Hawkins County. From supporting families through The Elf Project to working with the homeless and mentoring youth as a former teen director, Donna’s compassion and dedication shine through in everything she does.

Secretary and Treasurer, Deborah Miller

Deborah Miller serves as the Secretary and Treasurer of The Elf Project, bringing a wealth of experience in business, accounting, and organizational management to the program. Driven by her heartfelt commitment to supporting children and families in the Hawkins County community, Deborah plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission. As a dedicated mother and grandmother, she is passionately devoted to fostering the growth and impact of The Elf Project, ensuring that every child feels cherished and celebrated during the holiday season.
